Our Island Scents are manufactures oils developed in Maui for their pleasant scents. Fragrance oils are not to be confused with essential oils. Fragrance oils also called perfume oils can be used in crafting and as perfumes anytime you want to make a pleasant snelling environment. Our scents are stronger and last longer than the scent of essential oils.

Cold Pressed Coconut Oil

For skin

Coconut oil is extracted from the edible, fleshy "meat" of a coconut. it is one of the only sources of medium chain fatty acids. It has Lauric acid which is a proven to have antibacterial, anti fungal and anti-inflammatory benefits. It helps to make coconut oil an incredible moisturizer, reduce bacteria associated with acne, infections and other skin conditions, and it can improve wound healing by increasing collagen cross linking. Coconut oil works for all skin types.

For hair

Cold pressed coconut oil penetrates the hair shaft, and the scalp, it helps to repel lice and keep their eggs from attaching to the hair.

For Nails

Cold pressed coconut oil will help to strengthen your cuticles, moisturize the skin around your nails and get rid off hangnails. if you have a nail fungus your hands or toes massage cold pressed coconut oil on the affected area once its been thoroughly cleaned and dried.

Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil

Kukui nut oil is a natural moisturizer that has been used for centuries in Hawaii. It its produced by pressing oil from the kukui nut tree. It contains essential fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that help to soothe dry skin and heal wounds. Polynesians historically used kukui nut oil to protect the skin of babies. Kukui nut oil moisturizes dry chapped lips, helps soothe the effects of sunburn and is great for stopping the itch from bug bites. It is loaded with oleic acid and linoleum acids, both of which have high levels of fatty acids. it is also naturally full of vitamins A, C, and E. It is very close to makeup of your own natural sebum which absorbs so nicely into your skin leaving it feeling smoother and silky. We love to formulate products using this performance ingredient. Kukui nut oil has no fragrance.

African Shea Butter

Shea Butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in Vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection it is SPF -6 and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen reproduction. Shea butter has been used in Africa and other countries for years to improve hair and skin. It is often used to remedy dry skin and to help protect the skins natural oils. With long-term use many people report skin softening and strengthening as well as wrinkle reduction.Shea butter has a high concentration of fatty acids and vitamins. It also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Using shea butter on the bod, especially the face can condition, tone and soothe your skin. Adding coconut oil will enhance the properties of the shea butter and help keep skin soft and supple. We have a recipe that we hope you will love! It can be used as a lotion, body butter or moisturizer. This product is available unscented or if you wish we can add any of our intoxicating ISLAND SCENTS fragrance oils to make you smell goos and alluring.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera stimulates cell regenaeration, reduces itching, swelling and inflammation. This plant extract counters any bacterial infection while increasing the circulation which speeds up the healing process. Has Vitamin E & C and Zinc which stimulates epidermal growth and skin repair. Aloe Vera Oil soothes the skin and prevents drying and flaking of the skin in dry weather. It is high in anti - oxidants which prevent skin damage from radiation. Aloe Vera contains Vitamin E, Pathenol and Keratin. These make it an excellent hair care agent. The oil not only acts as a conditioner for the hair but strengthens the hair and cells at the scalp. Australian Emu Oil

Vitamin A & E

Vitamin A encourages healthy skin cell production. It also stimulates fibroblasts which are the cells responsible for developing tissue that keeps skin firm and healthy in the deep layers of the skin.

Vitamin E's main role in our skin cream is as an antioxidant. It works to block free radicals from the body which plays a large part in the aging process. If you can fight off free radicals than you can reduce wrinkles and keep the skin youthful looking. It is also used to hydrate skin, help soothe burns and it can be smoothed onto stretch marks and scars to diminish their appearance.
